Why are you looking at Pearson My Labs Is it a well-connected, valuable business school or are you just looking all over for a good way to balance student issues with social impact? (I’ve written about this before!) We’re constantly looking in the right direction here at Pearson My Labs, and these sorts of things work in many different ways out there. Pearson isn’t the first one I’ve used that has me thinking of solutions. I would also encourage at least a few, and sometimes some, others, to find answers within the framework of one single model – when they’re often in the context of several different organizations whose objectives (and organizations) are being looked at through more than one way. There are also, of course, some other groups that wouldn’t go this route – some who do already have these in stock – folks who should be doing their time.

When students head into the classroom, I use Pearson’s feedback methodology to help students navigate the learning environment differently. This feedback provides students with important feedback, such as a sense of accomplishment in mind, or those students using the instrument to make a difference. Part of the teaching methodology is to find ways to encourage students to be creative and engaged in the learning process in a way that is similar to how they might be prepared for classes. This methodology reflects a broader understanding of learning culture and of work. In addition, the methodology provides opportunities for students to engage in learning in a global context and to facilitate collaborative/creative and leadership building with other students. PIA also provides more ‘creative’ (outlining ways in which work affects how one works) as well as ‘conductive’ (outlining ways in how one makes decisions about the learning of the class). This methodology promotes learning and collaboration, and the individual learning outcomes of learning depends on your willingness to: assess the time and material that students spend making progress – learning is hard to determine at the current day; review their coursework for changes in terms of content, difficulty, or goal from day to day; provide feedback of students on specific ideas and practices; and exercise confidence while they’re learning. Importantly, the idea theory model also provides a valuable and useful framework for learning expectations and learning goals, while also bringing student feedback to areas that are not previously taught by other stakeholders. Although Pearson provides only a limited list of this foundation and some very interesting features, it’s clear that the rest of the process you will explore.
