Can instructors use Pearson MyLab Nursing to create opportunities for students to engage in nursing care of patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions? This review summarizes the results of studies in which Pearson MyLab Nursing (PMN) researchers used an interactive “health diary” to create opportunities for patients to engage in clinical work at the treatment and follow-up stages of musculoskeletal and orthopedic healthcare. Background and objectives The primary aim of this study was to investigate the use of PMN to create additional career opportunity for patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic diseases. We also sought to determine whether students could use such opportunities to successfully apply PMN nursing on such patients. To inform the design and implementation of the study, the study participants will be asked to complete a questionnaire. The current study is a 1- to 8-month pilot study.
