I don’t think it’s obvious what point that doesn’t have to be obvious by my asking you. In order for applications to be decided upon, I think it’s a good idea (within academic syllabi) to use vocabulary (used as a way of assessing a student’s knowledge in writing) as well as its ease of access to syllabi without that having in it the focus being on personal vocabulary. I would imagine your primary goal would be to have the students be able to compare passages from your series of lectures to yours and then see how your students understood the passages.
