As I learned more about the technology of electronic books in 2017, there has been a focus on what this technology can mean for my current skills. The library is only five years old now, and having grown in the early years of digital learning (libraries) was most likely necessary, as all libraries focus on technology and processes outside the paper printed area! This year, as the computer age goes into the 21st century, the ebooks market has opened itself to both an increasing demand for accurate and reliable information and a desire to go without. For me, I can count on the library system’s digital learning experience to be especially valuable. Digital learning has been around for years, but unfortunately, in 2018/2019, with the death of digital illiteracy being the latest turning point in digital learning, digital libraries across the world had already begun to close some dead ends, and this summer saw the closure of the A2E Digital Learning Center, which closed after the digitization of most electronic books in 2017–18. The 2016/17 school year was my first year in school, and with four months of digital learning this year it was a pretty steep learning afield, with some students working on new chapters of a new language as early as Day 1.
