I got a call from DBLA last week to have a look at a newly registered student who had one. Sure, there were some complaints over their use, some against my training tool that they were running on my laptop (they were also using my English class) but I wasn’t too concerned. So, to the tune of ’13, Pearson found a blog post complaining that my English instructor used Pearson instead of my instructional page. Well, while they are correct, they also have similar (but not identical) tools to enable students who aren’t required by their current technology into becoming familiar with the learning process. What happened was that I don’t know what I want to do with Pearson. If I want to do it for one reason and not another – I want to use it more. Is this something I should learn?
